Airport Line
The Airport Line is a new, planned 25-kilometre rail connection that will connect Helsinki Airport to long-distance train traffic.
The new connection separates from the Finnish main line in Pasila and runs through the airport to Jäspillä, south of Kerava, where it rejoins the main line. A total of 24 kilometres of the Airport Line is located underground in a tunnel.
The Airport Line will create direct long-distance train connections to the airport and enable faster train connections to the airport. In addition to faster travel times, it will increase rail capacity on the congested Pasila–Kerava route, thus improving the operational reliability of train traffic and enabling an increase in train supply.
